The 2018 Subaru Love Promise Customer Commitment Award

What is the Subaru Love Promise?

Subaru and our retailers believe in making the world a better place and the Subaru Love Promise is our vision of respecting all people. This is our commitment to show love and respect to our customers and to work to make a positive impact in the world.

The Subaru Love Promise Community Commitment

We believe in being a positive force in something bigger. And it all starts right here in our community. Not just by our donations, but by our actions.

That's why we stay true to our Love Promise Community Commitment by partnering with a wide variety of community nonprofits and charities.

Every year, we join hands with our owners in the "Share the Love" event, giving back to our community-a community that's given so much to us.

So, every day, we strive to ensure our love is felt not just by our customers, but by all in our community. We do this because we feel it is the right thing to do.

We are proud to participate in the Love Promise Community Commitment. We're grateful, not only to be a part of our community, but to serve and support the causes and passions that are closest to our hearts, right here in our neighborhood.

All of the organizations we support have one thing in common: the unwavering dedication to improve the world and the lives of its people.

Love Promise Stories from Bill McBride Subaru

A Subaru for Jameson  –  Christy P

A Subaru for Jameson

It seems odd that some people do not understand the connection between a pet and a person. Our love for pets is a big reason why we do so much when it comes to them and our customers do as well. We look at them much like we do our children. They are our fur babies and deserve the love and kindness that they bestow upon us each and every day. We recently had a customer who purchased a new 2018 Subaru Forester. Her fur baby Jameson fell in love with the new Forester just as much as she did. We found it important that Jameson should always have a Subaru with him even if he wasn't riding around in it. And so Jameson received a toy Subaru of his very own. After all, it's all about the love!!!!!

Elmore SPCA Hurricane Pet Rescue

Bill McBride Subaru; On behalf of the shelter, I would like to thank you for your generous donation for our recent animal rescue in Savannah, Ga. As a result of your donation, we rented a hi top van and 3 volunteers were able to make a trip to Georgia and bring back 32 dogs, puppies, cats, and kittens slated for euthanasia. Two of these dogs went to New Jersey, 9 went to Massachusetts, and the cats wen to the Furball Rescue project in Albany. Thirteen dogs ended up in our shelter in Clinton County, NY. We have now started a transportation fund. Donations to this fund will be used when needed to transport animals from high-kill facilities, to rescue animals from natural disasters, and when there is a call for a helping hand. We deeply appreciate your continued support of Elmore SPCA. All of the rescued shelter animals send along hugs, purrs, and kisses for your thoughtfulness! Warmest wishes, Carol Solari Ruscoe Secretary, Elmore SPCA Board of Directors

Local Subaru Dealer Donates to Elmore ASPCA  –  Veronica E

Local Subaru Dealer Donates to Elmore ASPCA

I learned recently that the local Subaru dealership in Plattsburgh donated thousands of dollars to the Elmore Animal Shelter. I have rescued many animals and now how important donations are to shelters. Donations like the this help so many animals. The cold months in the north country are always a challenge and many animals end up at the shelter. Bill McBride Subaru is so generous to help the shelter save furry friends.

The Gift of Love  –  Christy P

The Gift of Love

This past December I sadly lost my two labs, Cooper and Riley. In the months after I couldn't bear to part with their things. In time I decided to donate their items to The Elmore SPCA. Knowing that another animal in need would benefit from my donation made it easier to part with their things. I recently received a thank you note from Elmore SPCA thanking me for my contribution. During this time I also learned of a contribution that was made through a local dealership. During the time I donated to Elmore SPCA, Bill McBride Subaru made a donation to them as well in the amount of $5,600 through contributions made during their Subaru Share the Love Event. I commend Bill McBride Subaru for choosing a local charity and one that they have partnered with for many years. Elmore SPCA is a no-kill shelter and these animals remain in their care until they find their forever homes. Sustaining their care comes from a large part of donations made by people like me and local business. I know that the contribution made by the McBride dealership will help tremendously to care for those animals. What a beautiful gift of love.

I adopted a cat for my husband from The Peru Elmore SPCA and recently learned that a local dealership, Bill McBride Subaru, was able to raise $5,600 as their local charity from the Subaru Share the Love Event. In adopting my cat, I learned how important donations are to this local organization and help Elmore to sustain the shelters they have until they find their forever home like my cat Fred. Kudos to Bill McBride Subaru on choosing Elmore for your local charity and giving back to an organization that is so important for those of us who love our fur babies.

For the Love of Animals  –  Christy P

For the Love of Animals

Bill McBride Subaru believes in the importance of community and remains diligent in being an active supporter of our local charities within the Plattsburgh community. For this year “Share the Love” Event, we chose an organization that is close to our hearts. The Elmore SPCA is a non-profit organization and no kill animal shelter. Their mission is to provide shelter and comfort to animals in need that are on the path to finding loving lifetime homes. In order to provide these animals with loving and quality care, the Elmore SPCA relies on donations from the community and local businesses. That is why it was such an honor for Bill McBride Subaru to nominate them as our local charity. The donation presentation was held on May 7, 2016 from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM in which a check for $2,316.00 was presented to the Board President, Laurie Parsons by Subaru District Sales Manager, Annie Robillard - Esposito and Bill McBride Subaru Dealer Principal, Brian McBride. Pet Adoptions were available to the public and it was a great opportunity to raise awareness of the Elmore SPCA’s mission to the community and to the animals that they shelter. We are very proud to have chosen such a deserving organization and we look forward to continuing our unwavering support to Elmore SPCA. We would like to thank Subaru, Elmore SPCA, and their volunteers for the opportunity to help “Share the Love”.

A BRZ for Nathan  –  Jenna W

A BRZ for Nathan

We at Bill McBride Subaru always strive to be an active and influential part of the Plattsburgh community. Being able to give back to the community has been very important to us throughout the years. In March 2013, Saranac High School Student, Nathan W., was diagnosed with Ewing's Sarcoma at the age of 17. Ewing's Sarcoma is a rare form of bone cancer that effects children and adolescents. Nathan dreamt of owning a Subaru BRZ, which came true in April 2013 when Nate took delivery of a brand new blue 2013 BRZ. Almost a year later, we were contacted by Make-A-Wish in Albany, NY and thought this would be the perfect fit for Nathan. With his health slowly deteriorating, Make-A-Wish granted Nathan his wish to customize his new BRZ and we helped make this dream come true. Dealer Principal Brian McBride, Service Director Casey Coburn and Subaru Trained and Certified Technician Nick LaGoy and other local partners, working after-hours, transformed Nathan's BRZ into something truly unique and special. A few weeks later, a white stretch limousine brought Nathan to our store where he was presented with his customized BRZ. Nathan went on to enjoy his BRZ immensely and was ever so thankful. Sadly, he lost his battle with cancer in July 2014. A true fighter until the end! We're proud to have supported Nathan and Make-A-Wish.
