What is the Subaru Love Promise?

Subaru and our retailers believe in making the world a better place and the Subaru Love Promise is our vision of respecting all people. This is our commitment to show love and respect to our customers and to work to make a positive impact in the world.

The Subaru Love Promise Community Commitment

We believe in being a positive force in something bigger. And it all starts right here in our community. Not just by our donations, but by our actions.

That's why we stay true to our Love Promise Community Commitment by partnering with a wide variety of community nonprofits and charities.

Every year, we join hands with our owners in the "Share the Love" event, giving back to our community-a community that's given so much to us.

So, every day, we strive to ensure our love is felt not just by our customers, but by all in our community. We do this because we feel it is the right thing to do.

We are proud to participate in the Love Promise Community Commitment. We're grateful, not only to be a part of our community, but to serve and support the causes and passions that are closest to our hearts, right here in our neighborhood.

All of the organizations we support have one thing in common: the unwavering dedication to improve the world and the lives of its people.

For the Love of Animals  –  Christy P

For the Love of Animals

Bill McBride Subaru believes in the importance of community and remains diligent in being an active supporter of our local charities within the Plattsburgh community. For this year “Share the Love” Event, we chose an organization that is close to our hearts. The Elmore SPCA is a non-profit organization and no kill animal shelter. Their mission is to provide shelter and comfort to animals in need that are on the path to finding loving lifetime homes. In order to provide these animals with loving and quality care, the Elmore SPCA relies on donations from the community and local businesses. That is why it was such an honor for Bill McBride Subaru to nominate them as our local charity. The donation presentation was held on May 7, 2016 from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM in which a check for $2,316.00 was presented to the Board President, Laurie Parsons by Subaru District Sales Manager, Annie Robillard - Esposito and Bill McBride Subaru Dealer Principal, Brian McBride. Pet Adoptions were available to the public and it was a great opportunity to raise awareness of the Elmore SPCA’s mission to the community and to the animals that they shelter. We are very proud to have chosen such a deserving organization and we look forward to continuing our unwavering support to Elmore SPCA. We would like to thank Subaru, Elmore SPCA, and their volunteers for the opportunity to help “Share the Love”.

A BRZ for Nathan  –  Jenna W

A BRZ for Nathan

We at Bill McBride Subaru always strive to be an active and influential part of the Plattsburgh community. Being able to give back to the community has been very important to us throughout the years. In March 2013, Saranac High School Student, Nathan W., was diagnosed with Ewing's Sarcoma at the age of 17. Ewing's Sarcoma is a rare form of bone cancer that effects children and adolescents. Nathan dreamt of owning a Subaru BRZ, which came true in April 2013 when Nate took delivery of a brand new blue 2013 BRZ. Almost a year later, we were contacted by Make-A-Wish in Albany, NY and thought this would be the perfect fit for Nathan. With his health slowly deteriorating, Make-A-Wish granted Nathan his wish to customize his new BRZ and we helped make this dream come true. Dealer Principal Brian McBride, Service Director Casey Coburn and Subaru Trained and Certified Technician Nick LaGoy and other local partners, working after-hours, transformed Nathan's BRZ into something truly unique and special. A few weeks later, a white stretch limousine brought Nathan to our store where he was presented with his customized BRZ. Nathan went on to enjoy his BRZ immensely and was ever so thankful. Sadly, he lost his battle with cancer in July 2014. A true fighter until the end! We're proud to have supported Nathan and Make-A-Wish.
